Thiruvananthapuram: The Thiruvananthapuram Taluk NSS Karayoga Union has accused IG of Police B.Sandhya of misusing her official position to crush the stir demanding government takeover of a site in her possession for the construction of a memorial to seer and social reformer Chattambi Swamy. Addressing a press conference here on Friday, NSS taluk union president M.Sangeethkumar and vice-president M.Vinodkumar alleged that the IG was using pressure tactics to suppress the stir. Mr. Sangeethkumar said the court injunction secured by Ms.Sandhya against the entry of action council leaders into the disputed plot and the case filed by the police against the leaders were aimed at disrupting a public meeting to mark the birth anniversary of the Swamy scheduled to be held at Kannamoola on Saturday.
