Protest

BANGALORE: Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha activists on Friday staged protest on Mahatma Gandhi Road condemning the installation of fibre pillars on footpaths on Mahatma Gandhi Road and Residency Road for advertisement purposes. Paksha president Vatal Nagaraj alleged that the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, in the name of beautification, was allowing advertisement pillars on pavements unmindfully.

Mr. Nagaraj urged the BBMP to make public its advertisement policy and provide details on the permission given to erect the hoardings and revenue generated out of it. — Staff Reporter
