Award for Indian entry in Mettalographic contest

CHENNAI: Indian metallurgist and consultant with Thermax India, G. Venkataraman’s entry has been awarded Honourable Mention in Class 1 of the International Mettalographic Contest (IMS) organised by the American Society for Metals International (AMS).

Mr. Venkataraman’s entry for the annual contest was “Mettalographic Condition Assessment of Serviced Gas Turbine Components.”

The 41st ASM and IMS convention and technical meeting was held in Alberqueque, New Mexico, between August 4 and 7.
