Kadapa
KADAPA: As many as 100 young boy and girl students of Pushpagiri e-smart school in Kadapa attired as young Lord Krishna were the special attraction in the Krishnashtami celebrations on the school campus on Saturday. Lord Krishna as a divine child was an epitome of friendship and an achiever who did not distinguish between children of richer and poorer sections, Bharatiya Vignana Peetham founder Sanjeevini Devi, who was chief guest, said. It was a delight to watch a large group of tiny toddlers dressed as young Krishna, Dr. Nishita remarked. Such fancy dress contests promote communal harmony and better understanding of our culture, she added. Students should be accustomed to the significance of every religion and thereby promote communal harmony, Nandita, judge for the event, said.
