Three dead in mishaps

Phagwara: Three persons died in two different road accidents in and around Phagwara since yesterday, police said on Saturday. Two motorcyclists died in a collision with a jeep near village Jeendowal near Banga on Phagwara-Nawanshar road yesterday. They were identified as Harmesh Singh alias Mara (35) and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi (19) of village Jabowal in Nawanshahr district. While Mara died on spot, Gopi died in Guru Nanak Mission Hospital of village Dhahan Kalreran. A factory woman worker Neelam was killed here last evening after a car hit her on GT road. Her colleague Pooja was injured seriously. Both were crossing GT road when a car hit them.
