Staff Reporter

The Christian community is to submit a representation to the Chief Minister

The community will organise a protest rally in Adilabad town on Tuesday

ADILABAD: Members of the Christian clergy in Adilabad on Saturday demanded stringent punishment to the killers of Father Thomas Pandipalli of Yellareddy mandal in Nizamabad.

Condemnation

Priests belonging to different Churches condemned the incident that took place on August 16.

Addressing a press conference here, Father Thomas Perandher of St. Paul’s Church, Utnoor, Father M. Joseph of the Holy Family Catholic Church, Adilabad, Prabhudas, Pastor of Bethel Church and M. Prakash secretary of Vicharana and others said that such murders do not have a place in a society committed to peace like in India.

They said Christianity advocated only peace and hence the incident was condemnable.

The Christian community will submit a representation in this regard to the Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday when he visits Adilabad. Besides, it will organise a protest rally in town on Tuesday.
