Congress leader to quit party, join Chiru

CHITTOOR: Senior Congress leader Gyanender Reddy has decided to resign from the Congress party and join the party to be floated by Chiranjeevi.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday he said that he decided to quit the party as his services were not recognised by the leaders who are at the helm of affairs. The leader said that he was the sarpanch of Guntupalli panchayat for 10 years and twice as Member of Parliament from Chittoor and strived for the development of the constituency and the party, yet was denied ticket for Lok Sabha in the last elections though he requested all the leaders from State to the Centre.

Divided

This apart the party in the district was divided into two groups and disgusted with group politics prevailing in the party he has decided to quit, he said.

He said that he would work as ordinary worker without aspiring any position.
