FOND FAREWELL: Bidar Zilla Panchayat CEO G.C. Prakash (right) being felicitated by the Chairman of Standing Committee on Agriculture and Industry D.K. Siddaram in Bidar on Saturday. BIDAR: Bidar Zilla Panchayat chief executive officer G.C. Prakash was given a warm send-off at a function held here on Saturday. Mr. Prakash has been transferred to the Bagalkot Zilla Panchayat in the same capacity. At the farewell meeting, zilla panchayat members said they wanted Mr. Prakash back in the same position in Bidar for continuing the good work he had initiated. The former president of the zilla panchayat Padmakar Patil said, “Pressure will be exerted on the State Government to bring Mr. Prakash back as CEO.” Another zilla panchayat member, Kushal Yaba, said that owing to Mr. Prakash’s efforts, the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme had been implemented effectively in the district. LaudedMember Ganapathrao Kadam lauded Mr. Prakash for initiating measures for the overall development of the district. Members Naseemodin Patel, Mushatq Ahmed and others too praised his services. Mr. Prakash was felicitated by the members with a shawl and a garland. Zilla panchayat president Sangeeta Sangamesh Patil, vice-president Rajshekar B. Patil and in-charge CEO Ramesh were present.
