Special trains to clear Onam rush

CHENNAI: Southern Railway will operate special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers for the Onam festival.

Train no.0601 Chennai Central-Mangalore special will leave at 5 p.m. on September 9 and reach Mangalore at 9.15 a.m. the next day. No.0602 Mangalore-Chennai Central will leave at 4 p.m. on September 10 and reach Chennai at 8.30 a.m. the next day.

No.0661 Chennai Central-Mangalore special will leave at 10.20 p.m. on September 10 and arrive at Mangalore at 3.45 p.m. the next day. No.0662 Mangalore-Chennai Central will leave at 7 p.m. on September 11 and reach here at 12.05 p.m. the next day.

No.0647 Chennai Central-Mangalore special will leave at 5 p.m. on September 11 and arrive at Mangalore at 9.15 a.m. the next day. No.0648 Mangalore-Chennai Central special will leave at 4 p.m. on September 12 and reach Chennai Central at 8.30 a.m. the next day. No.0641 Ernakulam-Bangalore special will leave Ernakulam at 5 p.m. on September 8 and September 15 and arrive at Bangalore at 4.20 a.m. the next day. No.0642 Bangalore-Ernakulam special will leave at 5.15 p.m. on September 9 and 16 and reach Ernakulam at 4.30 a.m. the next day.

No.0638 Ernakulam-Bangalore special will leave at 5 p.m. on September 11 and reach Bangalore at 4.20 a.m. the next day. No.0637 Bangalore-Ernakulam special will leave at 6.45 p.m. on September 12 and arrive at Ernakulam at 6.30 a.m. the next day.

No.0635 Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram special will leave at 3.15 p.m. on September 10 and 12 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.45 a.m. the next day. No.0636 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central will leave at 12 noon on September 11 and 13 and reach Chennai at 4.55 a.m. the next day.

No.0657 Chennai Central-Thiruvananthapuram special will leave at 5 p.m. on September 14 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 a.m. the next day. No.0658 Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Central special will leave at 12 noon on September 15 and reach Chennai at 4.55 a.m. the next day.

No.0696 Mangalore-Thiruvananthapuram special will leave at 7.45 p.m. on September 9, 11 and 13 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 9.30 a.m. the next day. No.0695 Thiruvananthapuram-Mangalore special will leave at 8 p.m. on September 10, 12 and 14 and reach Mangalore at 10.15 a.m. the next day.

No.0659 Chennai Egmore-Thiruvananthapuram special (through Arakkonam and Katpadi) will leave at 3 p.m. on September 11 and 13 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 7.45 a.m. the next day. Reservation will begin on August 24, says a railway release.
