Blog on eminent journalist Narla

HYDERABAD: For the admirers of Narla Venkateswara Rao, outstanding Telugu journalist and critic, and the present generation who would want to know more about his multi-faceted personality, the Centre for Inquiry has created a blog in the name of V.R. Narla.

A blog on a veteran journalist when newsroom is getting increasingly influenced by the web for value addition indeed is the reflection of the times!

Centre chairman N. Innaiah said Narla was the editor of Andhra Prabha for two decades and later the founder editor of Andhra Jyothi. He was known for his straight forward and incisive writings and command over a variety of subjects. The blog would host all his articles and works to inspire and motivate the present generation of journalists and readers.

Andhra Jyothi editor Srinivas who formally launched the blog, narlavr.blogspot.com, here on Saturday, said newspaper readers used to await Narla’s writings for his forthright views on sensitive subjects. He was the first generation editor who could compare and contrast the pre-Independence and post-Independence journalism.

Veteran journalist K. Ramachandra Murthy recalled that Narla had an inimitable style and the times he lived were different giving the editor freedom to express his views and opinions.
