Precautionary measures taken in Karaikal

To tackle heavy rain, cyclone or flood during northeast monsoon
KARAIKAL: Karaikal district administration in the Union Territory of Puducherry is taking all precautionary measures in case of heavy rains, cyclone or flood during the northeast monsoon season in October, November and December, said N.Vasanthakumar, Collector, here on Friday.
Addressing the disaster management meeting convened by him, the Collector instructed all department heads to be ready to render immediate service to the people affected .
The Collector said that all schools and colleges in the district would be kept open during the northeast monsoon season for providing shelter to the affected people.
