Pedestrian crossings by 2011

Bangalore: People will have to wait at least till 2011 to get safe pedestrian crossings on National Highway-7 between Hebbal and the Bengaluru International Airport (BIA).

Union Minister of State for Shipping, Road Transport and Highways K.H. Muniyappa said that pedestrian sub-ways would be constructed at various intersections between Hebbal and BIA when the NHAI would build a four-km-long and six-lane elevated highway from Hebbal to Yelahanka.
