THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Ramesh Chennithala on Friday alleged that the State government is once again taking students seeking admissions to self-financing professional colleges in the state for a ride. In a statement here, Mr. Chennithala said the ongoing confusion in the admissions to these professional colleges was a re-enactment of the developments since the past two years. He said the Supreme Court verdict was very clear that the fee structure and the admission process should be overseen by the P.A. Mohammed Committee. But the government went ahead to sign an agreement with six private managements despite being privy to this information. The students who gained admission to professional colleges would have to pay a fee that would be six times more as a result of Friday’s Supreme Court verdict. He expressing concern over the uncertainty over their further studies.
