FRAT plea for High Court Bench in capital city

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Union government should decide to set up a Bench of the Kerala High Court in the capital city as an Onam gift to the people, the Federation of Residents Associations Thiruvananthapuram (FRAT) has demanded.
A press note issued here said an all-party team led by Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan should visit Delhi and meet various leaders, including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, to press this issue. FRAT leader D. Sreedevi Amma would observe a 24-hour fast on September 1, the 200th day of the agitation for the High Court Bench, the press note added.
