Big win for KSCA XI

BANGALORE: KSCA XI crushed Kerala XI by 246 runs and entered the quarterfinals of the KSCA all-India invitation cricket tournament at RSI grounds here on Saturday. At NRA grounds, Dr. D.Y. Patil’s Cricket Academy beat KSCA President’s XI by 53 runs, while the match between TNCA XI and Air-India was washed out at JIRS grounds. Both the teams shared the points and also qualified for the quarterfinals.

The scores: Punjab CA XI 453 for nine in 100 overs bt ONGC 324 in 78.3 overs (Mithun Manhas 102, Ajay Ratra 57 retd., Sarabjeet Singh five for 148).

KSCA XI 408 in 92 overs (K.B. Pawar 57, Amit Verma 106, B. Akhil 45, V.S. Thilak Naidu 76) bt Kerala CA XI 162 in 53.4 overs (Sebastian Antony 44, Rohan Prem 64).

Dr. D.Y. Patil Cricket Academy 206 in 70.4 overs bt KSCA President’s XI 153 in 49.3 overs.
