Youth drowns

A youth drowned at sea near the Gokul Park on Saturday evening. Two Town CI M. Narasimha Rao said J. Appalaraju, 26, of DLB Quarters, Salagramapuram, was found dead on the beach near the park. He was identified by the identity card in his pocket. The CI said that people on the beach told the police that the youth had ventured onto the rocks close to the coast. They suspect that he could have slipped and fallen into the water.
