Woman, daughter commit suicide
An unidentified woman and her four-year-old daughter committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at Umdanagar railway station on Friday. She was clad in blue sari and red blouse. The bodies were preserved at Osmania General Hospital mortuary for identification and autopsy.
Man murdered
A mason was allegedly murdered by his friends at Kalyannagar in Sanjeevareddy Nagar on Friday. P. Jeevaratnam (25), a resident of Allywn Colony consumed liquor along with his three friends Krishna, Arun and Veeresh. A quarrel ensued between them over a trivial issue and in a fit of rage Jeevaratnam’s friends smashed his head with a boulder and escaped from the spot.
