Rane will return to Cabinet

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Maharashtra Revenue Minister Narayan Rane on Saturday said he would attend all meetings of the State Cabinet in future, ending the stalemate that began after he submitted his resignation over differences with Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh on the allotment of 100 acres of prime land to Videocon.

Mr. Rane announced his decision after meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi along with Maharashtra Congress Campaign Committee chairman Gurudas Kamat. Stating that he apprised Ms. Gandhi of the political situation in the State, Mr. Rane told journalists that he would work as per her guidance.
