BHUBANESWAR: Uncertainty looms large over the release of the big budget Oriya film ‘Don’ following a strained relationship between its producer Sanjay Nayak of the well-known Brajaraj Movies and lead actor Aunbhav Mohanty. In a six page letter to the president of the Orissa Cine-Artists Association (OCAA) and versatile actor Debu Bose, copy of which is available with ‘The Hindu’, the actor, has alleged that producer Nayak has been harassing him with the intention to restrict him from acting for any other production house and having his own production house that was launched recently. Acknowledging Nayak’s role in his distinct debut in Brajaraj Movies’ super hit film ‘I Love You’ that made Anubhav a star instantly, the actor added that Nayak’s possessiveness and arbitrary decisions on the making of Don have done extensively damaging to his professional career. “I had to lose much of my weight and cut short my hair for his project that he failed to complete in time. But he would not allow me to sign any other offer for which I could not act in three films. He even wanted me to act against the interest of the other producers whose offers I accepted later. He was also unhappy with me as I was looking after my father’s film production unit,” he mentioned in the latter. While Anubhav has sought intervention of the OCAA for justice, the Association has resolved to take up the matter with Nayak apart from various for a of the film fraternity.
