HASSAN: Udaya Ravi was elected as Hassan district Kannada Sahitya Parishat president here on Sunday evening. There were 1,989 voters of whom 1,652 were men and 337 women. However, only 1,550 members participated in the election process. Udaya Ravi secured 730 votes, while Veerabhadrappa got 404, Dinesh 378 and Dharmaraja Kadaga 38 votes. — Staff Correspondent
