MCD’s effort to promote Hindi

NEW DELHI: To promote use of the national language in the day-to-day office work, acting Delhi Mayor Divya Jaiswal has appealed to municipal employees to carry out their entire office work in Hindi. He was speaking at a competition of essay writing, noting and drafting organised by the civic body here over the weekend. Several municipal employees participated in the contest and the winning candidates would be awarded merit certificates and cash rewards during the “Hindi Week” that will be observed by the MCD next month.
