SHIMOGA: A procession was taken out here on Sunday to mark the conclusion of the week-long “Sri Gayatri Pratipath,” organised by the Shimoga Taluk Brahman Seva Sangh. A huge portrait of Godess Gayatri was taken out in a procession in which nearly 700 people participated. The processionists chanted hymns and recited bhajans.
