‘Improve pass percentage’

MACHILIPATNAM: Stating that the district must achieve a pass percentage of 92 in the SSC examinations scheduled to be held in March 2009, Krishna District Collector Shailaja Ramaiyer asked headmasters of Zilla Parishad high schools to chalk out a systematic timetable and implement it without fail , here on Monday.

Holding a review meet at the Hindu College here, Ms. Ramaiyer pointed out that the pass percentage was 75.41 in 2007 and had gone up to 82.15 this year.

The Collector advised DEO V. Premanandam to convene a special meeting with the headmasters of 50 schools that achieved a pass percentage of below 50 in the examinations held in March this year.
