Darbhanga: A government official posted at Muzaffarpur and his wife were hacked to death by unidentified assailants at their village home in Bihar’s Darbhanga district, police sources said on Monday. Sitaram Jha, a sub-registrar, and his wife Kalpana were butchered in their house at Ramkunj village of the district where they had gone for a vacation, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Darad said. Household articles littered the floor when neighbours opened the door this morning, the SP said, adding prima facie loot was the motive behind the incident.
