Bank strike

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala unit of the Bank Employees’ Federation of India (BEFI) has resolved to make the nation-wide bank strike on September 24 and 25 ‘a major success in the State.’ In a statement here on Monday, BEFI State general secretary K.V. George said the BEFI State committee, held in Kochi, had decided to work for the success of the strike called by the United Federation of Bank Unions (UFBU) to protest against the banking reform agenda of the UPA government. — Special Correspondent
