‘Recognise gravity of terror threat’
Manipal: The former Sikkim Chief Secretary K. Sreedhar Rao has said that the Government should recognise the gravity of the threat posed by radical Islamist terrorist groups. He was delivering a talk on “Radical Islam and the threat posed by it to India”, organized by Manipal University here on Monday. Mr. Rao said strong political will was necessary to deal with them. The Government should give teeth to law enforcing agencies.
He said the aim of the radical groups was to destroy the secular ethos of the country, its economy and investor confidence.
