‘Mayawati not PM candidate’

Lucknow: Describing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati as an “untrustworthy” person, the Forward Bloc on Monday said she was never projected by the Left as a Prime Ministerial candidate.

“Mayawati has been shifting gears at every available opportunity. The Left parties have never projected her as Prime Ministerial candidate,” U.P. Forward Bloc president Ram Kishore told PTI here.

Even at the height of the Indo-US civilian nuclear deal imbroglio, her name never came up as Prime Ministerial candidate, he said.
