Did you know that ‘mana’ Governor N.D. Tiwari slogged as a gardener to pursue school study? Also, did you know Sushil Kumar Shinde, former AP ‘Rajyapal’ who is Union Power Minister, was an attender in a court before trying his luck in politics and clicking.? Interestingly, ‘darsaka ratna’ Dasari Narayan Rao, confessed the other day that he made a living in his younger days selling ‘soda’ bottles, He described Mr. Tiwari and Mr. Shinde as ‘great personalities’, who themselves released the books ‘Mana Governor—Narayan Dutt Tiwari’ and ‘Attadugunundi Agrasthanamvaraku’ (rise from lowest strata to top). Reality television shows just got a bit too personal. Just the other day when one of the judges in a singing competition threatened to walk out, the drama unfolded on national TV and to make the soup more spicy, some of the news channels broke the event under the banner of ‘breaking news’! A renowned association of voluntary organisations on Monday came up with an outlandish proposal of constructing school buildings on stilts. The proposal came in the light of officials citing scarcity of space for government schools in the city. The association suggested the idea of building stilts in the midst of the not-so-busy roads for construction of school buildings. While the traffic moves from beneath, the students can pursue their academic activities in the mid air , was the brilliant suggestion! Is anybody reminded of Gulliver’s Travels? Just when everyone were wondering why Siddipet MP Survey Satyanarayana was not attending SCB meetings despite being invited as a ex-officio member, in he trooped with a flourish, a good half-an-hour after it began on Monday. And, the voluble Mr. Satyanarayana did not waste time in entering into a wordy duel with CEO V. Premchand. He also took a dig at the members. “You decide Octroi and Toll tax be abolished and later plead against it in Delhi!” Smell elections in the air? V.N.HARINATH ABHIJIT DEV KUMAR SWATHI.V
