Union Minister’s car blocked

PUDUCHEERY: Miscreants on Monday blocked the car of Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs V. Narayanasamy as he was coming out of the venue of the CLP meeting at Kalapet here, and threw water packets on it. Police resorted to mild caning to disperse the crowd. Sixteen persons were injured.

As the news spread, supporters of Mr. Narayanasamy held a demonstration before the office of DGP seeking action against those responsible for the attack.
