TDP, Left MLAs march to Assembly

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Legislators belonging to the Telugu Desam and the Left parties marched to the Assembly in separate processions on the first day of its monsoon session on Monday to express solidarity with farmers who are faced with fertilizer shortage and other problems.

While the Telugu Desam Party members led by N. Chandrababu Naidu walked from NTR Ghat on Necklace road after offering floral tributes, the CPI (M) and CPI members arrived a little later from the Old MLA Quarters holding placards and shouting slogans.

Mr. Naidu accused the government of being indifferent towards the serious agrarian crisis in the State.
