NRI doctor’s gesture

Kakinada: Marla Babji, native of Kakinada settled in Germany, donated equipment worth Rs 12.5 lakh to the neo-natal wing of the Government General Hospital (GGH) here. He also promised to contribute his mite to the purchasing of an MRI scan machine costing about Rs 3.5 crore. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Dr. Babji said he had successfully made Prof. Deichmann of West Germany to supply equipment worth Rs 2 crore in the recent years. GGH in-charge superintendent N Mohan Rao, Head of Department of Pediatrics Dr. Vikram Kumar and others were present. Staff Reporter
