ANU B. Ed exams from Oct. 14

GUNTUR: Acharya Nagarjuna University Bachelor of Education theory examination will be held from October 14 and the practicals will begin on October 24.

According to controller of examination Nageswara Rao, the last date for submitting examination application form with whole examination fee of Rs. 415 was September 13 and with a late fee of Rs. 100 the last day for submitting application was September 17 and the fee can be paid by drawing a demand draft.

SPA admissions

Meanwhile, admissions for the School of Planning and Architecture being set up in Krishna district would begin on August 29 and classes commence on September 1 on the ANU Campus. SPA Head of Department of Housing CSN Rao along with other members visited the campus on Tuesday and inspected the proposed temporary class rooms and hostel facility for 70 boys and 30 girls.

Vice-Chancellor Y.R. Haragopala Reddy appointed D. Krishna Rao, assistant professor of Physics as the Director of Central Lab where physics research work was going on. The University college Principal T. Nirmala Mary has been appointed Coordinator of M.Ed. course in place of Y. Kishore, who has been appointed Registrar of Krishna University. The new PCET (entrance test for Physical Education courses) coordinator is Professor Suryanarayana. Interviews would be conducted on August 29 for providing counsellor jobs to the students of Certificate Course in HIV/AIDS Counselling, which was started in 2006-07 academic year jointly by ANU and NRI Hospital. In the first batch 50 students were admitted and 40 in the second batch of the six-month programme. Out of the 90 students 85 of them have been short-listed for interview by the APSACS at various VC and Confidential Testing Centres.
