Indiramma: Collector’s plea to officials

KADAPA: District Collector M.T. Krishna Babu on Tuesday directed Indiramma housing beneficiaries to expeditiously construct houses sanctioned to them by the State Government.

The Collector toured Kalasapadu, Kasinayana and Porumamilla mandal and interacted with people. When some beneficiaries in Balijapalle village in Kalasapadu mandal cited financial problems in constructing houses, he assured supply of material if they engaged a mason.

He assured sanction of houses to all those completing basements in the past. He promised laying of a road with Rs. 4 lakh and sanction of a tank for drinking water supply.

Bridge loan of Rs. 1.20 lakh would be sanctioned to those securing loan for the first time, Rs. 175 lakh to those taking a second loan and Rs. 2 lakh for those securing the third loan, Mr. Krishna Babu said. Those building houses as a group can share the bridge loan.

Interacting with people in Lingareddipalle village, he sought help of village elders to ensure completion of 48 incomplete houses.

Villagers said Telugu Ganga canals were dug up in their fields but they were not paid compensation as they lacked D forms. He assured to depute the Deputy Collector.

Mr. Krishna Babu told the villagers that water would be released to Porumamilla tank by September 15. Kalasapadu mandal was sanctioned Rs. 90 lakh and Lingareddipalle was granted Rs. 3 lakh, he said.

FP dealer fined

When people complained of haphazard supply of essential commodities, he directed tahsildar Prabhakar Reddy to levy a fine of Rs. 2,000 on the fair price shop dealer.

He reviewed the progress of housing, pensions and voters lists at a meeting in Porumamilla MPDO office.
