Corrections and clarifications

The last sentence in an AP report “France takes handball gold” (“Sport – Olympics”, August 25, 2008) was “Iceland has won four medals, two silvers and two bronzes”, while the table “Final Medals Tally” said “Iceland 0 1 0”. The table is right — Iceland won only one medal (a silver for handball).

The heading of a report (Tamil Nadu, August 23, 2008) was “Judge tells accused in rice smuggling cases told to donate rice”, leading to queries. It should have been “Judge tells accused in rice smuggling cases to donate rice”.
