Bhutanese team calls on Ansari

NEW DELHI: A 13-member Bhutanese parliamentary delegation, led by the National Assembly Speaker Lyonpo Jigme Tshultim, on Tuesday called on Vice-President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Hamid Ansari. Welcoming the team, Mr. Ansari said India and Bhutan w0ere ideal neighbours. While giving an overview of the parliamentary system, he expressed India’s desire to help Bhutan in strengthening its nascent democratic institutions.
