LED streetlights

GHMC Commissioner C.V. S. K. Sarma on Tuesday inspected pilot project of 20 light emitting diode streetlights erected recently from Imax theatre to Saifabad police station. The streetlights would save 50 to 60 per cent energy when compared to conventional lights, said R. Devanand, GHMC Additional Commissioner (Electrical). The lights would also have automatic switch on and off facility.
