Three held in forgery case

CHENNAI: The Central Crime Branch police on Tuesday arrested three persons, including a retired official of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board, on charges of creating fake documents.

According to the police, M. K. Jawaheer of Mogappair West had lodged a complaint with Commissioner of Police that R. Balasubramanian (62), retired Junior Engineer of the TNHB residing in Padi, K.Raman (53) of Anna Nagar, and S.Mariarajan (44) of Tirumangalam, had created fake documents and took possession of a piece of land in Ambattur registered in the name of his daughter who was in the United States.

The CCB police who investigated the case arrested the trio who were produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
