NEW DELHI: The motorcycle of an employee of a foreign exchange firm who was allegedly robbed of the vehicle and Rs.18 lakh in cash by two men in Connaught Place here on Monday has been found abandoned near the Shivaji railway bridge.
The vehicle was found parked by a police patrol team. “The place is near the scene of crime. We are trying to find out when it was parked there,” said a senior police officer.
The incident took place on Monday afternoon when 28-year-old Ranjit Singh had gone to the parking lot near Super Bazar to get his motorcycle. He was about to leave for INA Market to deliver the money to a client of his company when two men intercepted him. They robbed him of the bag containing the money and drove off on his motorcycle, he had alleged.
