NEW DELHI: The New Zealand Education Fair-2008 showcasing the education opportunities in that country will be held in India from August 28 to September 2. Representatives from over 25 educational institutions across New Zealand will counsel students keen on studying there as the country is emerging as an educational hub for higher studies among students. ParticipantsThe University of Canterbury, Lincoln University, University of Otago, Manukau Institute of Technology, Pacific International Hotel Management School and AUT University are some of the institutions participating in the eighth edition of the fair. The fair will serve as a one-stop solution for all queries relating to new and emerging educational courses as well as existing streams of higher studies and professional courses. It is being organised in various Indian cities like New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh. The fair will reach New Delhi after Pune and Hyderabad on August 31 and will be mounted at Hotel Hyatt Regency from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. From Delhi it will travel to Chandigarh on September 2. “We are expecting a significant increase this year. As many as 3,800 new visas have already been issued to Indian students,” said the New Zealand Trade Commissioner to India, Paul Vaughan. Education New Zealand, a government-funded organisation has been instrumental in holding the fair along with New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
