Admission racket busted; 7 held

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested seven “members of a gang” allegedly involved in a racket of duping people in the name of providing them admissions in private medical and engineering colleges.

Following an FIR registered by a person from Firozabad that the gang deprived him of Rs.20 lakh in the name of facilitating admission in a medical college, a Special Task Force team swung into action and on the information collected, arrested the seven here. The gang used to prepare fake documents to hoodwink victims, sources said.
