Lucknow: A man wanted in Bihar and carrying a reward of Rs.2 lakh on his head, has been killed in a shootout with the police in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar district. Musafir Yadav, who had 67 cases pending against him and had wreaked havoc in Bihar’s West Champaran district and adjoining Kushinagar in UP, was gunned down by a police team near village Maghi Bhagwanpur on Tuesday night, a Home Department release said here on Wednesday. Some members of his gang, however, managed to escape under cover of darkness, the release added.
