BHUBANESWAR: An alleged misbehaviour by a doctor triggered unrest on the campus of a private medical college with students resorting to ransacking here on Wednesday. Students mostly girls confined the accused doctor G. S Patnaik, an orthopedician, to a room and beat him. Police rescued the doctor who sustained minor injuries. Trouble began on the campus of Institute of Medical Sciences in the morning when a group of nursing students wanted to know the action, which was supposed to be taken over their allegation that the doctor had allegedly misbehaved with one girl during a recently concluded conference here. When the institute authorities failed to give a “satisfactory” answer, students got together and started ransacking. They were aided by some of students from Utkal University.
