Patiala: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has decided to set up nine new public schools, eight in Punjab and one in Haryana. “All the nine schools will be affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE),” Dr Gurmohan Singh Walia, Director of Education, SGPC said. SGPC will apply for the affiliation next year, he said. Presently SGPC is running 19 public schools with two of them affiliated to CBSE and the rest with Punjab School Education Board (PSEB).- PTI
