Panchayat Raj official in ACB net

HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday unearthed assets worth over Rs.44 lakhs belonging to executive engineer, Panchayat Raj, Kakinada (East Godavari district), P. Nageswara Rao. They registered a case of disproportionate assets against him.

According to a press release issued by the ACB here, the officials conducted simultaneous searches in Kakinada and in Nellore district and his office and houses belonging to his relatives and friends.

The immovable assets unearthed included a house and 14 house-sites in Nellore town, Kovur, Muthukur, T. P.Gudur mandals of Nellore district, and Chennai worth Rs.28 lakh.

In Guntur district, ACB officials unearthed disproportionate assets worth over Rs.45 lakh belonging to Mukarla Raghava Rao, Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet division, following simultaneous searches conducted at various places.
