New spot billing system for Gurgaon now

Special Correspondent

CHANDIGARH: Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has decided to introduce a spot billing system in Gurgaon to give relief to consumers and to minimise complaints of wrong billing, distribution of bills and standing in queues for depositing bills, an official spokesman said here on Wednesday.

The new system would start from September 1. The meter reader would now generate energy bills on the spot in the presence of the consumer who would also have the option to pay the bill by cheque to the reader.
