dated August 28, 1958: Anandanilaya Vimanam

The “Mahasamprokshanam” to Anandanilaya Vimanam took place at the abode of Lord Venkateswara of Tirumalai on August 27 as thousands of devotees from all over India worshipped the Lord. The project of gilding the cover over the Anandanilaya Vimanam at a cost of Rs. 18 lakhs commenced in 1953. As the work in question was directly concerned with the abode of the Lord, the procedure laid in the Agamas for such contingencies was followed.
