Former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj’s birth anniversary to be celebrated
|
MADURAI: A southern zonal conference of Janata Dal (Secular) would be held in Tirunelveli on August 30, said K. John Moses, State general secretary.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he said that former Chief Minister K. Kamaraj’s birth anniversary would be celebrated on the same day in which former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) national president H. D. Deve Gowda would participate. Nainar Nagendran, former Minister of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, would participate in the conference.
Mr. Moses said that the Kashmir issue, inflation, terrorism and failure of the United Progressive Alliance Government to tackle these problems would be the highlight of discussion at the conference. He alleged that law and order had deteriorated in Tamil Nadu and frequent power cuts were affecting small industries.
Stating that Tamil Nadu Janata Dal would be part of a non-Congress, non-BJP alliance, he said that the third front would capture power.
