Guard dies of bullet injury in Jagan’s house
Special Correspondent
KADAPA: An APSP constable B. Prakash, 30, working on guard duty at the residence of YSR Foundation Chairman Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy, son of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, died when a bullet from his SLR rifle pierced his chest, in the verandah of a barrack opposite the leader’s house in Pulivendula in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to Kadapa SP Mahesh M. Bhagwat, prima facie evidence proved mishandling of the weapon and further probe was under way. Prakash reportedly slept alone in the verandah, while his colleagues, who slept inside, heard the gunshot around 5 a.m. and rushed to find him in a pool of blood.
