Interactive theatre over the weekend

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Yours Truly Theatre brings a weekend of theatre, with two interactive theatre performances on Saturday and Sunday at Nayana, Ravindra Kalakshethra at 7 p.m.

Seasons Change, the first play, is completely improvised. The views, opinions and thoughts of the audience regarding the play change the course of the play, as the actors play them out on the spot, with accompanying music and lights. Seasons Change will show on Saturday.

Bhagavan Dundoo is a play done in “complete story style”, where the audience get to end the story, again enacted by the actors on the spot. This story, which is described by the theatre group as a “light-hearted play” exploring the journey of a tribal community in search of God, has dance and music woven into it.

Playback theatre rests on the collaboration between audience and performers. The audience gets to watch their responses to the play immediately on stage.
