Power line snaps in Palayamkottai

TIRUNELVELI: Several parts of Palayamkottai plunged into darkness for more than 2 hours on Thursday evening since 6.50 p.m.

TNEB sources said that even as power supply was about to be stopped for usual load-shedding in the evening, a power cable at Tiruchendur highway got cut at 6.50 p.m. due to heavy winds and rain.

Since restoration of the line took more than an hour, it was coupled with the usual load-shedding. Supply resumed after 2 hours and 25 minutes, the sources added.
